An immersive live electronic duo reinventing the club experience
FrÉ - vocals, synths
Jo Beyer - drums
MIC IN THE FACE IS NOT ON PURPOSE is the electrifying collaboration between Cologne-based drummer Jo Beyer and Dutch electro-pop artist FRÉ. A meeting of energetic acoustic drums, shimmering synths, and fearless vocals.
Their sound exists between the club and the concert hall: adventurous art-pop and electronica pulsing with cinematic energy. Think driving beats, vivid textures, and moments that blur the line between rave and dream sequence. With FRÉ’s magnetic stage presence and Jo’s high-voltage drumming, the duo creates a world you can dive into. Music that moves your body and lights up your mind. Beneath the surface, their work carries a subtle awareness of what it means to use your voice and platform in a noisy world.
It’s music for late nights, neon lights, and endless glitter.
Audience reactions:
“Like watching a movie and dancing inside it.”
“It hits like a rave, but it feels like a story.”
“You don’t ‘watch' this duo — you become a part of their world."
